Alex Laureano has been with Desert Polymer Flooring since early 2020. He started out as the Warehouse Manager at the Palm Desert location and quickly moved up to Operations Manager due to his invaluable knowledge and ability to manage large scale operations.
Alex manages all operations for the Palm Desert location, including shipping, logistics, inventory management and customer service. In addition to this, he also manages inventory and special orders for the St. George location, keeping these two warehouses fully stocked and maintained to ensure that customers have what they need at all times. Alex is also bilingual, speaking Spanish and English, and often assists Spanish speaking customers requiring technical or customer service.
Prior to working at Desert Polymer Flooring, Alex gained critical experience in warehouse and operations management as well as employee management. He previously managed the warehouse for Cambria, a high-end countertop company. Before that, he served as an Operations Manager at Home Depot for six years, where he was responsible for managing over 60 employees.
Alex truly enjoys his job at Desert Polymer Flooring and appreciates the personal, close-knit atmosphere of the company, which extends to the customers. In addition to his role as Operations Manager, Alex has a long history of study and mastery in Jiu Jitsu. He is a black belt and currently teaches and mentors students in their journey. He also enjoys golf and occasionally treats contractors to enjoy a round with him.
